Who I've helped so far
Real firms, at every stage of the journey.
I've now worked with 50+ accountants to help them start and scale their own firms, using the Accountancy Accelerator Framework. Some were still in a 9-to-5, trying to make the leap. Some already had small practices turning over £2,000–£3,000 a month, looking to scale to something sustainable. Others had grown to around £6,000 a month but were struggling to break through to £10,000 and beyond.
Nigel joined already running his own practice, turning over roughly £30k a year - but he was struggling to grow, unsure how to acquire new clients, or higher-paying clients, without relying on referrals.
From our first session, we built a client acquisition strategy specifically around Nigel's lifestyle and natural strengths - giving him an effective but sustainable way to grow. By the end of our six-month journey together, Nigel had more than doubled his firm's revenue to £63k a year, without needing to work extra hours - giving him the breathing room to live with more freedom and actually enjoy what he was doing.
Watch the video to hear Nigel's storyLiam joined coming out of 20 years in practice, having just sold his shares as an equity partner. He'd been scared to make the jump - he had a good income and a family to provide for, and building something of his own felt like a big risk. Before publicly launching his firm, we worked with Liam behind the scenes to put everything in place, so he could launch and scale with maximum efficiency.
Within 46 days of launch, Liam's firm had won £20k of work in back-to-back months, and he'd successfully made the transition to full-time self-employment. Liam now works from home with his young family, and is on track to scale past £100k in revenue within his first year.
Watch the video to hear Liam's storyJoe joined while still working full-time as an employed accountant. He'd wanted to quit and build something of his own for a while, but didn't have the confidence to make the leap by himself.
Using the resources inside the program combined with 1-to-1 mentorship, Joe quickly knew exactly how to grow his firm - and just eighteen days after joining, he handed in his notice. Rather than chasing volume, he targeted larger, higher-paying clients, winning management accounting clients paying over £1,000 a month.
Watch the video to hear Joe's storyRyan and Tabrez joined with no existing client base and no firm to speak of. Rather than relying on one channel, they focused on building numerous different lead sources at once - and it drove rapid growth, taking them from £0 to £250k in revenue within just 12 months.
Along the way they landed a client worth over £100,000 - and their next challenge became scaling their systems and team fast enough to keep up with demand. They now run a full operating system, with clear processes and a team behind them, all managed while travelling around Sri Lanka and Bali.
Watch the video to hear their storyAli joined with just a handful of clients, turning over roughly £3,000 a year - working long hours in industry with no way out that he could see. His dream was to build something that let him give his children the best life possible; specifically, to take them snowboarding.
We met in person, and three days later Ali handed in his notice - using our exit strategy to grow his firm while he worked out his notice period. Six months on, his firm had grown by 1050%.
Watch the video to hear Ali's storyLuke quit his job with zero clients, and set a goal to grow his practice to £5k a month within 6 months.
Luke wanted to go all-in on social media, so we built his entire strategy around it. By month 6 he'd hit £9.5k in revenue - almost double his target - and repeated it again in month 7.
Barnaby joined while still working his 9-to-5, running his practice on the side and stuck at around £4k a month. We wanted to grow his revenue without growing his workload before he quit, so we redesigned his pricing structure and built out a scale plan - including his first outsourced hire.
From there we advised Barnaby through his transition out of 9-to-5 employment, while simultaneously helping him build a social media strategy so his business could boom the moment he left. Barnaby is now running a six-figure firm, and looking to scale to seven figures.
Fit check
Who this is (and isn't) for.
This is for you if
- You're qualified (or soon to be), so that you're able to obtain your practising certificate. (MAAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- You're willing to be challenged, coached and pushed beyond your comfort zone.
- You want to grow through brand, positioning and authority - not by competing on price.
- You can think independently, make decisions and own the implementation.
- You're willing to put in consistent effort for at least three months, even before results show.
This isn't for you if
- You're not CIMA, AAT, ACCA or ACA qualified - or due to qualify within six months.
- You're unwilling to be challenged or pushed outside your comfort zone.
- You want to compete on price, or grow by being the cheapest option in the market.
- You're after quick wins without consistent effort over at least three months.
- You rely on being told exactly what to do, rather than thinking critically for yourself.
- You're unwilling to raise your standards around clients, pricing and delivery.
The framework
The 9-Stage Strategy.
Every practice owner struggles with one of 9 things. Follow the path below to find yours.
Setting up
I don't know where to start.
Selection of client type
I don't know what niche to specialise in.
Supply of leads
I can't generate a reliable source of leads.
Selling the service
I don't know how to close clients on a sales call.
Structure of offer
I don't know how to price my services.
Servicing clients
I don't know how to actually deliver the service.
Scaling
I don't know how to scale beyond doing everything myself.
Software
I don't know what software to use, or how to get the most out of it.
Systems
I don't know how to systemise my business, so it runs without me.
What changes
>70% of accountants who join with a 9-5 quit their job.
A few of those resignations, captured.
Straight from the community
Wins, as they happen.
Real client-win posts from inside the Accountancy Accelerator - new deals, closed and shared, week after week.
Why it works
Confidence and clarity - not stumbling around in the dark.
Most accountants trying to build their own firm are figuring it out alone - Googling, guessing, hoping the next decision is the right one. The Accountancy Accelerator replaces that with a clear framework and a room full of people doing the same thing, so you always know exactly what to focus on next.
The investment
What's the return?
The only guarantee I offer is this: if you don't put the work in consistently, you will not get results. There's no magic here - this framework works when you do.
That said, based on what current members are achieving, I'd expect your first 2 to 3 monthly clients to comfortably cover the investment - assuming you follow the process and take action, like the firms above.
For accountants who haven't quit their job yet - get the foundations in place before you make the leap.

In person
Our biggest event yet.
We ran our third in-person Accountancy Accelerator event - the biggest one yet.
All members are invited to our in-person events - expect guest speakers, hands-on skill sessions, and plenty of time to swap stories with people building the same kind of firm as you. Our last event welcomed guest speakers including Grace Hardy, Joshua Tharby and Ed Enver.
Members flew in from across the country to work on their firms face-to-face, away from the day-to-day - the kind of momentum that's hard to get on a screen.

Questions
FAQs.
Is this for accountants starting from scratch, or only for those with an existing practice?
Yes to both. It's suitable for any accountant who hasn't yet scaled past £10k a month - designed to take you from balancing a practice with a 9-to-5, all the way through to that £100k destination.
Do I need a practising certificate to join?
If you want to run your own firm and offer accountancy services to the public, most UK bodies require you to hold a practising certificate (or equivalent licence) - it's how they confirm you're qualified, insured and fit to practise. You don't need to already hold one to join - you just need to be qualified, or due to qualify within the next 6 months.
The routes differ by body. The summary below is a general guide only - requirements and processes can change, so always confirm the current criteria directly with your body before applying.
How do I get a practising certificate?
The exact process depends on your body - ACCA, ICAEW (ACA), AAT and CIMA each run their own route, with their own membership, experience and CPD requirements. Rather than list it all here, check the current criteria directly on your body's website (accaglobal.com, icaew.com, aat.org.uk or cimaglobal.com), since requirements do change.
Worth knowing: if you're already ACCA or ACA qualified, you can pick up your MAAT with full exemptions in about 2 weeks - it's a genuinely simple process, and AAT's practising certificate route tends to be the quickest of the four.
Why are you running this if you already have a successful practice?
Because helping other accountants build the same freedom I found has become my new sense of fulfilment - see the story above. The price point is intentional too: it ensures only people genuinely ready to commit join, and it protects my time and energy for those who are serious about the process.
Can I have more than 4x 1-to-1 calls?
Yes, though it's rarely needed - the most successful members typically use only around one in every three of their calls, because they're proactive and spend their time implementing between sessions. Additional calls are available on request, subject to availability.
Is there any support between calls?
Yes - you'll have community and ongoing support inside the program, so you're never stuck waiting for the next call. You can reach me directly on Slack for written responses, Monday to Friday, and there's a Q&A after every weekly call.
What kind of clients will this help me attract?
Higher-quality, higher-paying clients who value expertise - not cheap compliance work.
Is this tax or technical training?
No. This isn't about becoming a better accountant technically - it's about building a better business: pricing, positioning, marketing, systems, team and growth. If a technical question does come up, there's a dedicated channel inside the community for exactly that, so you can always ask.
Can we have a call before I sign up?
I used to jump on a call with every accountant before they joined, so you could get a feel for whether it was the right fit. As things have grown, I no longer have the capacity to do that for everyone - which is why I've put this page together instead, and why the community stays capped at a limited number of members at any one time, to protect the quality of support inside.
